Mariana is a new software bass synthesizer from Moog Music, renowned for its innovation in electronic bass instruments. Mariana represents Moog's legacy in electronic bass, following the footsteps of iconic devices like the Minimoog Model D, Taurus Bass Pedals, Sub Phatty, and Minitaur. Embracing the transition to the digital realm, Mariana emerges as a groundbreaking software synthesizer available for iOS, MacOS, and Windows platforms.

At its core, Mariana is a dual-layer synthesizer designed to combine two distinct synthesizer sounds with individual processing capabilities. Its dual-layer architecture, featuring two oscillators per layer with intricate controls, empowers users to craft unique bass tones that cut through mixes with exceptional clarity. The inclusion of a sub-oscillator contributes additional depth to the low-end spectrum. Moreover, Mariana boasts two resonant Moog filters along with a dedicated filter for the sub-oscillator, enabling precise sound sculpting by adding warmth or enhancing bite through resonance manipulation. The stereo crossover functionality further enhances Mariana's versatility by facilitating the creation of stereo content while maintaining a solid mono bass foundation.

Moreover, Mariana offers warm saturation and tight compression to enrich bass lines, complemented by real-time metering tools for monitoring and refining sounds to professional standards. With built-in delay and chorus effects operating independently on separate layers, users can explore expansive stereo effects or retain a robust mono output. Whether starting from scratch or utilizing one of the 200 presets included, Mariana proves to be an accessible and adaptable tool across various musical genres and production workflows.

Featuring three LFOs, three envelopes, and two random generators per layer alongside an extensive modulation editor, Mariana provides comprehensive modulation capabilities. The software's modulation sources can be internally assigned, controlled via MIDI, or linked to virtual CV sources from Moogerfooger Effects Plug-ins. The optimized user interface ensures seamless integration into any DAW environment, cementing Mariana as the go-to solution for infusing productions with Moog's unmistakable bass sound.
